Singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong released his third Japanese single called, "Tonight" and sold over 102,000 copies on the first day alone.
June 6, Kim
Hyun Joong's agency, Key East Entertainment stated that approximately
101,818 copies of "Tonight" were sold on the first day. Of all the
foreign artists who released their singles on this day, Kim Hyun Joong
had the most number of album sales.
On the same
day, Kim Hyun Joong showed up as No.2 on the Orion Daily Music Chart,
following after the Japanese singer SMAP who ranked No.1 with their 50th
album. Kim Hyun Joong is competing for the top spots with the hottest
stars in Japan.
January of
last year, Kim Hyun Joong's Japanese debut single "Kiss Kiss/Lucky Guy"
shot up to No.1 on Oricon as soon as it was released. Of all the foreign
artists in Japan, Kim Hyun Joong made the record for the most number of
sales.
Kim Hyun Joong also released a digital single album "What it Means to be Alive" in Korea.
On June 8, Kim Hyun Joong will hold a fan meeting in Seoul titled, "2013 KHJ Show-Party People".
