[Article] Kim Hyun Joong's agency releases official statement concerning assault charge by girlfriend

Kim Hyun Joong's agency KeyEast Entertainment has released an official statement concerning the accusations of assault made against the actor and singer.

On August 23, KeyEast Entertainment presented Kim Hyun Joong's side of what occurred, casting doubt on the alleged "repeated attacks" suffered by his girlfriend as well as other reported facts.

The agency stated, "After confirming [with Kim Hyun Joong], we found that it's true the two parties have known each other since 2012, but they didn't start dating until a few months ago... In the middle of their relationship, the two had an intense exchange of words. Though it's true that in their heightened emotional state things got physical, it's not true that there was continual physical assaults or that she's been battered and beaten over the past two months like what was reported."

In terms of the reports that the woman in question suffered fractured ribs, KeyEast said, "Their physical fight was a one time occurrence, and her fractured ribs didn't occur due to their recent argument. Her ribs were injured when they were playing around previously, and the next day, they met with acquaintances. As there didn't seem to be anything abnormal, her injury wasn't recognized."

The label made it clear that the earlier reports were one-sided, "We're very disappointed about the one-sided reports from the accuser making headlines and that the truth is being exaggerated." KeyEast added that Kim Hyun Joong will be willingly complying with police investigations in order to reveal the truth. The statement further mentioned that he plans to continue to fulfill the current commitments in his schedule, and afterwards, he will be focusing on resolving the case against him.

The official statement concluded that the agency took a day to figure out the situation clearly before addressing yesterday's reports. What's your opinion about these accustations?

Backed by the Japanese fans’ enthusiastic response, Kim Hyun Joong has decided to extend his world tour by adding in a concert in Japan.

Currently on a world tour performing in 11 cities in 7 countries, Kim Hyun Joong has met with over 35,000 fans in Japan through concerts in Yokohama, Osaka and Hiroshima.

All three concerts gathered the interest of the fans, with the fans who could not purchase the tickets continuing make requests for an extension to the tour. In order to show thanks for the fans’ explosive interest and love, Kim Hyun Joong’s agency decided to add in a concert in Nagoya.

Kim Hyun Joong will be launching a concert on September 16, meeting the fans in Nogoya Congress Center.

With the Nagoya concert added to the world tour, the fans in South East Asia, America and Europe have also been sending in requests to hold the concert in their countries.

Having wrapped up his concert in Hiroshima on August 9 with 6,000 fans, Kim Hyun Joong will be carrying on with the world tour titled 2014 Kim Hyun Joong World Tour: Fantasy in China, Thailand, Peru, Mexico and More.
