Kim Hyung Jun has displayed his hallyu star status in Thailand after successfully wrapping up a series of activities there recently.
The singer recently paid a visit to Thailand from December 14 through 16 where he took part in events such as the ‘Thailand Korea Friendship Festival 2012’ as a representative of Korea.
Not just at the venue locations for his activities but wherever the star went, crowds of fans were seen following him wherever he went including restaurants, his hotel, and on the road.
His appearance at the ‘Thailand Korea Friendship Festival’ managed to also attract his fans from beyond Thailand and from as far away as Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.
Kim Hyung Jun stopped for autographs and pictures when he could and would
frequently acknowledge his fans in the crowds.
After returning to Korea on December 17, Kim Hyung Jun will soon begin production for the movie An Actor is an Actor.

Kim Hyun Joong picked up four awards at the ‘Yahoo! Asia Buzz Awards 2012‘ held at the Hong Kong Convention Center on the 17th.
The ‘Yahoo! Asia Buzz Awards’ gathers the most popular search data from Yahoo!’s search engine throughout the year to honor the hottest stars in Asia.
Kim Hyun Joong received the ’Most Popular Artist of the Decade’, ‘Asia Top Buzz Solo Artist’, ‘Hong Kong Top Buzz Solo Artist’, and ‘Taiwan Top Buzz Solo Artist’ awards, proving his unceasing popularity. The idol garnered an impressive total of 1.35 million votes to achieve the ‘Asia Top Buzz Solo Artist’ award, which is three times the number of votes for competing nominees.
Key East Entertainment stated, “This achievement marks the fourth consecutive year of being awarded since 2009. This year’s ‘Most Popular Artist of the Decade’ award was the result of a poll featuring beloved artists in Asia since 2003, and it is an honorable award that holds a lot of meaning.”
Kim Hyun Joong released his first full-length Japanese album, ‘UNLIMITED‘, on the 12th and rose to the top of the Oricon daily chart. The music video for his title song, “Save Today“, ranked #1 on Chinese music video site, YinYueTai.
Starting in January 2013, Kim Hyung Joong will perform in 10 cities across Japan for his Japanese tour.

Kim Hyun Joong recently won four awards at the ’2012 Yahoo Asia Buzz Awards.’
The ‘Yahoo Buzz Awards’ is an annual event that gives awards to Asian pop stars based on their ‘buzz,’ or number of searches they received on the Internet portal site.
On December 17, the awards ceremony was held in Hong Kong, in which Kim received the 10 Years Popularity Grand award and three trophies for Top Buzz Korean Artist in Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. He has received the awards for four years in a row since 2009.
Kim won first place among other nominees, who have received love in Asia for the past ten years since 2003, when the awards ceremony has established, and received the 10 Years Popularity Grand award.
Kim also received around 1,350,000 votes, which is three times higher than the other nominees in average, to win a trophy for Top Buzz Korean Artist in Asia.
According to his agency, Kim said, “I have received these great awards at the ‘Yahoo Buzz Awards’ for four years. I’m so happy and I want to thank all my fans for giving me these awards. I will work harder and I hope you all have happy Christmas.”
Kim is currently receiving considerable attention with his first Japanese EP Unlimited released on December 12. He also ranked first on the Oricon as soon as he released his EP.
A music video for “Save Today” from his new EP ranked first on the biggest Chinese music video site Yin Yue Tai. This proves that Kim is very popular in all Asian countries, including, Korea, Japan, and China.
He will start going on a tour in January through ten Japanese cities, including, Kobe, Saitama, Nagoya, and Fukuoka to meet his fans.
