Kim Hyun-joong, one of the most beloved names of Hallyu, has confirmed his new release in Japan in two months time.
The pop-singer-and-actor is to drop his third Japan single on June 5, his agency KEYEAST confirmed on April 16.
Set to list a total of three tracks, the upcoming record is to consist of five different cover photos and three music videos of each track only for a limited edition, KEYEAST explained.
Making his debut as a member of K-pop group SS501 in 2005, Kim expanded his career into acting after starring as one of the main characters in KBS hit series "Boys Over Flowers" in 2009.
Kim has solidified himself as one of the leading K-pop artists in the Japanese music scene with two single albums and one studio album, topping the Oricon daily singles and weekly chart for numerous times.
After three years’ absence from the Korean small screen, the “Naughty Kiss” star is revving up for a return to the new SBS variety show “Barefoot Friends" [translated title], the follow-up to TV audition “K-pop Star 2.”
Co-starring emcees Kang Ho-dong, Yoon Jong-shin as well as K-pop stars Kim Bum-soo, U-ie of After School and Eunhyuk of Super Junior, the first episode is filmed in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam early April and is scheduled to premier on April 21.
