A-class Korean idol singers and powerful vocalists of hit original soundtracks (OST) will excite Seoul next month.
A total of 28 K-pop singers will come together for Lotte Duty Free’s annual customer event “Lotte Family Festival,” to be held at Seoul’s Jamsil Sports Compex’s main stadium from September 13 to 15, the top duty free brand said through a press release Thursday.
Popular idol groups 2PM, 2AM, SISTAR, Teen Top, Boyfriend, miss A, VIXX, Girl’s Day, 100% as well as R&B divas Ali and Ailee will perform on the first day of the joint concert, each of them singing at least five songs in a mini-concert format to connect with fans.
The second night will be filled with K-drama’s popular original soundtracks by Hallyu drama’s star music producer Oh Joon-sung, who was in charge of “Boys Over Flowers,” “Full House,” “Cinderella’s Step Sister,” “City Hunter” and most recently, “The Faith.”
The three-hour show, arranged with 60-piece orchestra, will feature 10 hit OST singers such as Heo Young Saeng, Shin Yong-jae of 4MEN, Jung Dong-ha, The One, Park Wan-kyu and Jo Sung-mo.
The last day will feature some of Korea’s most beloved indie musicians, including Jatanpung, 10cm, Deli Spice, Kiha & The Faces, OKDAL and Annyeongbada.
Lotte will also host a flea market all three days to sell outfits from their star models Super Junior, 2PM, Choshinsung,Kim Hyun Joong, Song Seung-heon, Choi Ji-woo and Jang Keun-suk, donating all profits to social enterprise The Beautiful Store.
The three-day festival is the duty free brand’s biggest festival ever since it started in 2006, and is being brought to downtown Seoul for the first time from its previous non-Seoul locations.
