“Inspiring Generation” director, Kim Jung Kyu shared the reason why Kim Hyun Joong was chosen for the lead role. He said that Kim Hyun Joong has an overflowing confidence which he believes Kim Hyun Joong would carry out the role very well.
KBS 2TV “Inspiring Generation” depicts a romantic-action drama which imposes a different kind story of love, friendship and loyalty. Action and fighting scenes have also been seen in the drama which adds up to the interesting plot. Since the drama defines different genres, it has been a challenging character for Kim Hyun Joong. He has to portray his tough and fierce side and at the same time, he also needs to act out well with the emotional scenes.
On the first scenes of “Inspiring Generation”, Kim Hyun Joong transformed into a different character showing his tough side with his scary gaze. His character seemed to be way cooler than his previous image. His transformation from a “Pretty Boy” to a “Tough Man” has really caught the viewers’ attention.
The episode aired last January 29, showed Kim Hyun Joong’s emotional acting. He carried out the scene quite well and the viewers were moved and even shared their agony. This just proves how Kim Hyun Joong has grown much as a better actor.
Back in his previous dramas, “Boys Over Flowers” and “Playful Kiss”, he would stand out with his nice chic clothes which really made him look cool and hot. Quite the opposite in the drama “Inspiring Generation”, despite the sloppy ragged clothes, he still delivers his scenes with confidence and he gets adored not by his chic fancy clothes but with his brawny physique thus, his acting skill that really touches the viewers’ hearts. He still really stands out.
