After the initial notice about application of ThanKYU 2nd membership, we received a lot of queries from the fans.
To help with the understanding about the application of ThanKYU 2nd membership, we have posted this extra notice.
In addition, there is also notice about the joining of ThanKYU 2nd membership homepage which will start from 1-Aug onwards, so be sure to read till the end.
(xiaochu: note that www.kyu-jong.com is the official homepage while they have another homepage for ThanKYU members. You can sign up freely for the official homepage, but only paid ThanKYU members have access to ThanKYU homepage)
ThanKYU 2nd membership application Q&A
Q: Who will be able to enjoy ThanKYU 1st membership additional benefits? Also what are the additional benefits?
A: We are still discussing about KyuJong’s future activities and so is unable to advise anything about the additional benefits for ThanKYU 1st membership members, appreciate your understanding.
If you are considering the benefits during joining of ThanKYU 1st membership, do take note that the benefits will not be the same as members of ThanKYU 2nd membership.
The additional benefits are only given to those who have joined ThanKYU 1st membership for less than 1 month before KyuJong serve his military service.
Which means that it is only applicable for those who joined after 30-May-2012.
Q: I’ve joined ThanKYU 1st membership and will be joining ThanKYU 2nd membership, do I have to join the homepage as a new member?
A: Those who have joined the homepage as member during ThanKYU 1st membership will not have to re-join the homepage again.
Existing ThanKYU 1st membership members can send the application email after they transferred the membership fee, we will renew the membership for the same period as of other new members.
Q: How can overseas fans join?
A: Overseas fans can sign up as member in the homepage with their own name, and write a Korean address where the fan goods or fanclub membership card can be sent to.
Because of this, please ask someone who is staying in Korea to apply on your behalf.
We seek your understanding that we are unable to send the ThanKYU 2nd membership members goods to overseas.
Q: Membership fee and postage fee are separate fees, how much do I have to pay?
A: It is 2,500won except for Jeju, DoSeo, SanGan area which costs 3,000won, you can make the payment together with the membership fee.
(example: 20,000 + 2,500 = 22,500won & 20,000 + 3,000 = 23,000won)
+ For overseas fans who are applying as a group, postage fee will be also calculated as per person basis.
(example: 20,000 + 2,500 = 22,500won X 3 person)
Q: What do I have to write when sending the confirmation of membership payment (money transfer) email?

Q: I have sent an email after signing up for ThanKYU 2nd membership and transferred the money, when will I get a confirmation?
A: We will regularly check from 1-Aug onwards. After we receive the email on money transfer, we will reply within 1 day to 1 week. After we have confirmed the receive of money, we will renew your membership in the homepage as “paid member”, and send you an email that the application of membership has been completed.
If you don’t send an email on money transfer after transferring money and signing-up, it will be difficult for us to confirm your application. So please make sure to send us the email on money transfer.
In addition, if you don’t get any email to say that your application of membership has been completed after 1 week since you send the email on money transfer, please enquire
Q: When can I sign-up as a new member in the homepage so that I can apply for ThanKYU 2nd membership?
A: Currently there is a problem with the server at ThanKYU 2nd membership fan club homepage, where the join-page cannot be loaded. We are doing our best to resolve but it will take about a week. We seek for your understanding and we will post another notice once the homepage can register new members again. The transfer of money for fan club membership fee will start on 1-Aug as scheduled, we will appreciate that new members of ThanKYU 2nd membership can join the homepage first then send the email of confirmation of payment after.
