October seems to be the month for many Korean star comebacks, just this week, two prominent boy band members have teased their solo comebacks.
JYJ’s Jaejoong teased fans of his upcoming album through a series of teaser photos, and even pre-released the track, ‘Sunny Day’.
The new track is a collaboration between Jaejoong and Korean vocal group Noel’s Lee Sang Gon. The sad ballad describes the loss of a past lover, and showcases the smooth harmonisation of both singers. The 27-year-old revealed the album cover and several photo teasers over the past few days, and it seems that he will be trying out a rock image, spotting several new tattoos.
JYJ’s management company C-JeS Entertainment, has announced that the album would be released on Oct 29, and will have a rock genre. This is Jaejoong’s first full-length solo album, following his EP I, released earlier in January.
Another lead vocalist of a Korean boy band, Heo Young Saeng of SS501, will also be making a comeback. The (also) 27-year-old was revealed to be enlisting for his mandatory military service on Oct 31, and will be releasing a special album today (Oct 16).
The special album She is meant to be the singer’s present to fans before he signs on, and contains title track ‘Weak Child’. Earlier today, the full music video was released on B2M Entertainment’s official YouTube, and shows the caring side of Young Saeng, even as he tries to woo Japanese actress Fujii Mina in the video. The song carries a soulful melody and talks about how he will miss his fans during these two years.
We are definitely looking forward to both albums, since new songs ‘Sunny Day’ and ‘Weak Child’ have already proven the duo’s status as vocal artists!
